Hello! I’m grateful to be serving the Inland Empire at Citrus Counseling Services. I’m a later-in-life career changer who finally stepped into the work I’ve always felt nudged toward. I started my career as a therapist after finishing my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Loma Linda University in June 2025. Before this, I spent years in roles where the best part of my day was helping people feel safe enough to be exactly who they authentically are. It took me a while to realize that was the heart of the work I wanted to do full-time.
I don’t hold any official certifications yet, but I’m actively working towards certifications in Play Therapy. I’m also very interested in working towards certifications in Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Brainspotting, and Psychodrama to best serve all those I’m blessed to share space with.
My heart is especially drawn to kids. Childhood is such a tender and shaping season, and I love giving children a place where they feel seen, understood, and warmly welcomed just as they are. Most of my experience has been with elementary-aged kids, about 6 to 13, but I enjoy working with younger ones and teens as well. I also hope that the kids I work with carry forward an early sense that reaching out for support is normal, healthy, and nothing to be ashamed of.
One thing that has stayed with me in this work is how powerful it can be when someone is given a steady, accepting space to just breathe and speak freely. Watching a person realize they don’t have to hold everything alone. I’ve watched that moment consistently shift a person’s life trajectory.
What I love most about being a therapist is getting to walk with people through their stories. I feel honored every time someone trusts me enough to share their world with me.
I chose Citrus Counseling Services because I wanted to serve kids in our community, especially those who might not otherwise be able to get support. Once I started here, I was struck by how caring and down-to-earth the team is. The staff and leadership encourage and support each other in a way that’s rare in many workplaces. After more than two decades in the workforce, this specific kind of environment at CCS feels like a real gift, and I’m thankful to be part of it.
