My name is Andria Naranjo-Rodriguez, and I am an associate MFT. I have been practicing for about 2 years. During that time, I have earned certifications in TF-CBT and am currently training in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy. My formal education includes a BA in Liberal Studies from Cal State San Bernardino, with 15 years working in education, 7 of them as an of elementary educator. I also have a MA degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University with a Child Studies Specialization. In addition to my work as a therapist, I draw on my experience as an educator to help students navigate challenges at school and to advocate for the support they—and their families—may need.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a mental health professional is that healing rarely comes as a single breakthrough. It usually unfolds through a series of small, courageous choices, nurtured by connection and self-reflection. Healing is guided not just by techniques, but by genuine presence, compassion, and a sincere belief in a person’s capacity to grow. Witnessing this process has deeply shaped the way I approach my work and continually reminds me of the resilience people carry within them. What I love most about this work is the privilege of walking alongside others as they navigate change, discover new possibilities, and reclaim parts of themselves that may have been overshadowed by struggle. That sense of meaningful connection is also what drew me to CCS. I chose CCS as my practicum site and place of employment because of its strong commitment to accessible, community-centered mental health services, as well as its supportive environment for professional growth and collaboration. The values of CCS closely align with my own, and I appreciate being part of a team dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care.
