Merari A. Galvan Garcia is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) who believes everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported. She is passionate about helping children, individuals, and families navigate challenging seasons of life while recognizing the strengths and resilience they already possess.

Her experience includes working with children with Autism and their families through ABA services, conducting developmental assessments, supporting immigrant youth in foster care, and providing crisis intervention and emotional support to families in the NICU. These experiences have shaped her compassionate, person-centered approach and reinforced the importance of meeting each client where they are.

Merari earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino, and her Master of Social Work from Loma Linda University. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Psychological First Aid and holds Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Merari does not believe her role is to “fix” people. Instead, she sees herself as someone who walks alongside her clients, providing support, encouragement, and a safe space to explore their experiences. She values the “aha” moments when clients begin to recognize their own worth, strength, and capacity for growth and healing.

As she continues to grow as a clinician, Merari hopes to expand her work with postpartum mothers and individuals experiencing homelessness. Above all, she hopes to help her clients feel less alone, more empowered, and confident in navigating life’s challenges.
