Ivannia Alay, LCSW

Youth Services Program Director

Ivannia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a B.A. in Mass Communications from Cal State University, San Bernardino, and an M.A. in Social Work from the University of Hawaii Manoa. With over five years of hands-on experience in direct counseling, she uses a variety of evidence-based techniques, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), FBT (Family-Based Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Somatic Processing, Sand Tray Therapy, and Seeking Safety.

Ivannia actively addresses a wide range of issues, including faith-based counseling, substance use, severe mental illness, and trauma-informed care, with a particular expertise in eating disorders. She brings a deep understanding of the complexities and unique needs associated with eating disorders, informed by specialized training. Ivannia is committed to challenging diet culture and promoting body liberation, guiding clients through their healing journeys with a focus on courage and perseverance. She tackles family wounds and generational trauma head-on, recognizing that healing is an ongoing process. Passionate about her work, Ivannia finds the most fulfillment in witnessing her clients’ growth and recovery.
