Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

Alex is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with a comprehensive educational and professional background. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Abilene Christian University and her M.S. in Counseling with a specialization in Children and Adolescents from Azusa Pacific University. In addition to her degrees, Alex holds a certificate in FEED/TEACH for infant-toddler mental health, underscoring her commitment to early childhood development. She has been practicing as a mental health therapist since 2021. Alex has gained experience in various therapeutic approaches, including child-centered play therapy, attachment-based play therapy, and faith-based therapy.

Alex has a deep understanding of the therapeutic process, especially with children. By creating a safe and supportive space where kids can express themselves through play, Alex is facilitating a powerful form of healing. Play therapy is indeed a valuable tool because it allows children to communicate their feelings and experiences in a way that is natural for them. Through this process, they can work through their challenges and develop resilience.
